Wizards Play Network

What is the Wizards Play Network? The simplest explanation is it is a Wizards of the Coast program that supports and encourages In Store Organized Play. Working with their Authorized Wizards of the Coast Distributors (us) Wizards has developed a program that not only increases store profits but a feeling of "community" between retailers and their customers. Magazine Exchange has seen store after store that has joined and participated in the program reap the benefits of higher sales.

Yes, your eyes do not decieve you, qualifying accounts may be eligilble to earn up to $750 in credits with Magazine Exchange through participation in this program. We will talk more about this later but we wanted to be sure we had your attention so that you would strongly consider reading the rest of the information on the WPN.

Wondering how to compete with Big Box Stores and Internet Retailers? Organized Play through the Wizards Play Network is a powerful tool to help your store compete in today's business world. We have seen customer after customer have dramatic increases in sales when they get involved with the WPN and their local player community. If you want to improve your relationship with your customers participate in the WPN. If you want to become more "visible" in your community participate in the WPN. If you want to increase your sales and profits participate in the WPN. Play equals dollars, we really believe this because we have witnessed it first hand.

Participation in Organized Play through the Wizards Play Network is all about building community. Lets be honest, people like to do business with people they like. If you host organized play in your store you will be building a community that likes and supports your store. You will in affect be building your own local group of supporters, if you can give these gamers a great environment to play in then they will bring their friends in... and their friends will bring their friends in... and so on and so on. Remember... Play Equals Dollars and building your community will build your player base.

Talk to your Magazine Exchange sales rep. Not only will our staff help you get signed up for the program. They will direct you to YOUR WPN rep at Wizards of the Coast. Wizards has a staff devoted to helping you be succesful with Organized Play. While we would be less than honest to say the program does not take work, we are able to say that signing up is easy... the rest is up to you.

Membership has its privileges! Actually we are not sure if some of these should be called "benefits" or "tools" for building your customer base and profits. The point is that the WPN will help your grow your local community by giving you special benefits that stores that do not actively support the WPN will not have. These benefits include things like:

• Qualifying accounts earn the right to recieve Dungeons & Dragons books eleven days before the regular street date.
• Qualifying acocunts earn the right to offer Magic: The Gathering Pre-Release events.
• Qualifying accounts earn the right to purchase special products only available to participating WPN stores. One example is the Magic: From the Vault sets that were only available the last two years to Core Level and above WPN Stores.
• Qualifying accounts receive special promotions cards, point of purchase material, a listing on the Wizards Store Locator and....
• Increased sales and profits!

If your brick and mortar store is not currently a member of the WPN (or has been inactive for 18 months or more) you may be eligible to earn up to $750 in credits with Magazine Exchange. At Magazine Exchange we believe so strongly in this program that we are willing to help you justify your efforts to get started in the program.
